Training Band

Ulverston Training Band has existed in its present form since 1994 following the merger of Ulverston’s two brass bands (Ulverston Town Band and Ulverston Solid Brass).

We take young people from the age of 8 plus any adults who wish to learn to play a brass instrument.  We rehearse during school term time and charge a subscription of £13 per term payable at the start of each term.  This payment covers the use of an instrument, all music, group tuition and some uniform items. We meet on a Tuesday evening in the band room from 7 to 8.00pm.

The Training Band carries out a small number of concerts in the area during the year. We do not charge for these concerts but donations are welcome to help us maintain and replace instruments as needed
